Focusing on the owner’s desire for an open, light-filled space, our team transformed the maze of rooms and hallways into a spacious home, while respecting the aesthetics of the historic neighborhood.
Interior ceilings were raised and walls relocated. Four new skylights, including one above the master shower, flood the home with natural light. The Lanai and alfresco kitchen provides space for enjoying the outdoors. The private patio features an outdoor shower and private courtyard. The walk-in closet, utility and butler’s pantry provide ample storage.
A standing seam roof was installed, with hand-turned ridges, just as those original to the neighborhood. An antique maple butcher-block was integrated into custom cabinetry, which was styled to be functional and efficient while maintaining a historic element.
The result is a beautifully renovated efficient home, that remains respectful to its origin, providing the owner with an updated and efficient living space.
