With fantastic views of the local ski area and creek pasture, this remodel highlights the Alpine Modern aesthetic that goes so naturally with its Western Montana setting. The original custom home was cut up by an L-shaped stair to the walk-out basement. The expansive views were also cut up by small, separate windows that distracted from the view. Straightening out the stair and adding the wall of glass not only emphasized the view, but also greatly expanded the sense of space. Adding wood beams to the already vaulted spaces, emphasized the height of the ceilings. Prior to finalizing the design, the video was produced to help the homeowners understand both the flow of spaces and the the final finishes.
