Bellevue, Piedmont Basement

Collaborative effort Basement Conversion. Developed: Guest/Au Pair Suite; Sitting Room/Media Room; bathroom; Mud Room; Laundry and Wine Cellar. Budget constraints led to collaboration among, home owner; Homeowner's father (a long time general contractor); and DLR Custom Builders.

Converted just under 900 S.F. of undeveloped basement into living space. Pictured here is a sitting/media room. Homeowner retained DLR Custom Builders to perform design work. Demolition and rough installations were performed by homeowner's father's construction company.

Design changes continued throughout construction making the final product a collaboration among the owner, his contractor father and DLR Custom Builders. DLR assumed production responsibilities for this project when drywall was at level 3. Drywall was taken to a level 5 finish by DLR installers.
