Brushstroke Wallpaper
After removing 50 year old wallpaper from the walls we were left with many square feet of bland blankness. It's been driving me crazy. I knew it needed some color, texture and pattern. Wallpaper was my first instinct. However, I also knew that I needed a project that would require little material and that I could do immediately.
I got this idea of brushstroke wallpaper from @mystylevita
The only thing needed is a little paint and a selection of brushes. Try a variety to see which one you want to use and stick with one. Really no technique after that needed. Just go for it!
The process of painting each brushstroke was the perfect task. It was meditative, forgiving and fun. Anyone can do it, I promise. Even my kids joined in and did some. I will admit it's a very busy pattern and needs artwork on top of it to break up the pattern. I do plan on placing art on both the walls. That will have to come in due time once I'm able to get printing and framing together. I already have a plan for that. Stay tuned.
