Contemporary Kitchen Remodel in Shoreline

Project scope consisted of transforming a tight closed kitchen into a more of a free, open-concept kitchen/dining/living room. Structural design called for a new beam to pickup the roof loads previously supported by the kitchen wall. The ceiling was cut open so a beam could be pocketed in. The existing ceiling joists were bisected and hung from the beam. The kitchen window, electrical, plumbing and gas lines were all relocated for the new layout. Ceiling and walls were patched, finished, textured and painted. New cabinets, appliances, lighting, countertops, and tile floor were installed.
