Summer beach house in Ogunquit Maine designed with simplicity of form in mind. The exterior mimics the local fishing village structures with a modern twist. Mid-Century modern hints can be found throughout the house. While the home is not a mid-century modern home, the original cottages on the site were built in the 1950's so the design has more subtle hints of Modern that act as more of an homage than a reproduction. As a shared family house the plan places the living space on the top floor so all of the family can enjoy the views. The bedrooms are spaced out on the lower two floors with common space between them to maximize privacy for each family member and guests.
