The owner desired a bright, open space but did not want the all-white kitchen. Surround cabinetry is a pale grey and the island is a navy blue. The bleached wood keeps the kitchen warm while adding extra texture. We chose two different backsplashes, a subway tile and a marble mosaic to create interest. The backsplash at the bar is a fabulous wallpaper with some sparkle for a little bit of fun!
