House of Teal
Never a dull moment in a house with kids under the age of 3, but once preschool started this family wanted a more sophisticated living and dining room. Easily visible off the large entry hall, these rooms are tied together through the color palette of gray and turquoise. The spaces are fun and youthful (and kid-friendly) but still grown up enough for the adults to enjoy a night of entertaining. We used a mix of mid-century and tribal influences, a gray shag rug that hides stains, leather and Sunbrella fabrics. When it's not the day of a photo shoot, the littles have been known to climb all over the leather cocktail ottoman, and that's just as we intended.
