This homeowner decided to update their Clarksville MD home by reconfiguring the first floor living space to allow for ease in entertaining and enjoying an open floor plan. The entire remodel incorporated changing something in every room in the house, but the main thrust was the 1000 foot addition to the rear of the home. This addition included a screened porch and sunroom and the ability for the family room and kitchen to be open to each other. The expansion of the kitchen included an area for doing homework or taking care of the household accounts, dining area, large island for preparing the meals and enlarged pantry graced by a stylish barn door. The outdoor living space expansion offered a covered porch on the ground level for dining outdoors and compliments the built-in pool and garden with waterfall.
