This 5800 square foot French Farmhouse style custom home is located on a lake with access by boat, the rear of the home and yard were designed to be completely accessible to the water through the use of expansive pocket doors to accommodate multiple functions including indoor/outdoor living and a dining area. Additionally, a small pool and spa were added with a unique feature of a glass wall open to the lake. In keeping with the French farmhouse design, the exterior of the home was resurfaced with French limestone, authentic slate roof tiles, and over-grouted field ledge stone. The front of the home gives the impression of an elegant French estate manor. All interior spaces were also stylishly designed without any compromise to the design theme of the home, while still providing interesting personal spaces. For example, based on the client’s passion for baseball, a seldom used retreat was converted into a sports bar that would be the envy of any sport fan.
