Mainline Classic Traditional
This mainline family needed more space, more storage, and above all, they wanted a beautiful kitchen that complimented their homes character. They were in love with a patterned wood floor tile they found online and asked if we could incorporate it. We avoided other patterns that would compete with the floor and proposed a bright and airy kitchen with bold pops of black and stained cherry wood.
The new space combines the original kitchen with an adjacent laundry room and tiny bath (it was really just a toilet in a closet). The updated layout adds room for seating and opens up the backyard entrance to the kitchen. A hand washing utility sink is off the kitchen, centrally placed between the back door and the new powder room. Custom cabinets provide a tight fit and were used to hide the dishwasher, coffee maker, and microwave.
