Rockridge Renovation
Featured project in the 2017 Rockridge Kitchen Tour.
Restoration and renovation of a classic, two story Craftsman home, originally built in 1916. The kitchen foyer includes built-in shelving, stocked with home canned goods and cookbooks, all in appetizing and easy reach. An oversized French door at the rear opens the kitchen to the deck and yard, to gain daylight and direct access to outdoor cooking and entertaining.
The new kitchen layout includes a large center work island with sink, dishwasher, storage and open shelves. New cabinets and counters under the windows provide additional storage and prep space, and eliminate the need for upper cabinets.
The adjacent walk in pantry and workstation provides dedicated space for roasting and brewing coffee, and includes a prep sink and wine storage.
