This active hosting couple decided they needed a kitchen fit for their social life once the kids left for college. They've dreamed of knocking out that frustrating wall between the living area and their kitchen since they purchased this builder home in Bradford Farms 22 years ago. Finally, the day has come, they have a fully open floor plan, custom bar, super sized island with the most beautiful countertops ever mined as we love love love this Thundercloud Brazilian Marble. We flushed the beam to the floor joists of the second story and wrapped it in 120 year old barn wood. Restained all of their oak floors and added more where there was once carpet. The custom bar offered the perfect space to make a tasty cocktail before dinner while enjoying the detail of the butcher block and brick subway tile. Getting rid of the old pantry allowed for a flush wall pantry unit and counter depth refrigerator. Our personal favorite are these perfect leafed gold pendants by our partners at Quoizel. Truly one of our favorite projects to date!
