Enclosed kitchen, wood cabinets, black slate backsplash, heavy stone around a wood burning fireplace. Since none of these features appealed to the new homeowner, we were hire to bring fresh ideas. We opened up the space taking walls down, saved the cabinets with fresh light gray paint, picked a translucent gray glass tile for the backsplash (done in a different pattern over the cooktop) and entirely refaced the fireplace wall with a slab surround and new cabinets for the TV.
