After transforming their backyard into a resort-worthy space, these newly retired clients commissioned me to update the interior of their Riverwoods, IL, home, giving them an exciting, fresh look for the next chapter of their lives. They wanted a sophisticated yet comfortable design inspired by the colors and styles of their extensive and much-treasured art collection. Among their goals, the clients wanted to retain as much of their furniture as possible but update, retain their travertine floor and add numerous “wow” factors. I repositioned some of their artwork as necessary for the new look. The project included the great room (dining room, sitting room, game nook) kitchen, primary bedroom and bathroom.
