Ten Ideas for Storing and Displaying Your Jewelry
Tangled bracelets, knots in necklaces, and lone earrings that are missing their partners plague even the most dedicated of jewelry lovers. On the flip side, when jewelry is stored away in drawers, it can be forgotten. What's someone with a jewelry collection to do?
You use jewelry to decorate your neck, wrists, and ears, why not use it to decorate your home when it's not on your body? A recent feature in House Beautiful featured an Albert Hadley-designed home. This particular home owner had an entire room dedicated to her jewelry. Necklaces were literally lounging on their own human-sized daybed! While most of us don't have this luxury (O.K., so my extra room is a pursery, I know, I know...), there are plenty of tricks for displaying your favorite trinkets and keeping them organized. Below are just a few of the ones I've found on Houzz. If you have a favorite Houzz jewelry shot or know of another great trick, please share with us in the comments section below!

1. Group pieces together to form a luxurious assemblage. Ah, black and white, petals and pearls - so very Chanel!
2. Add it to a Tablescape. The casually draped turquoise necklace is the perfect finishing touch here.
3. Bedeck a gourd lamp. I stole this trick from that House Beautiful Albert Hadley feature I spoke of above.
4. Dedicate an entire wall! Nails or simple hooks are all you need to achieve this look.
5. Of course, you can do better than nails. Choose special hooks for your jewelry. Don't you just love these double butterflies? They go perfectly with beautiful beads!
6. Use an elegant bulletin board to your baubles.
7. Along those lines, let your baubles inspire you right alongside those tear sheets and fabric swatches!
Look carefully at this picture and you'll see how a necklace fits right into an inspiration board.
8. Take some cues from your favorite boutiques and use a display case. The turquoise frame here really adds some punch and makes it feel like a piece of art on the wall.
9. Think about investing in a serious display system. This one is fit for a museum, and the collector can see her pieces without even opening her drawer.
10. Open your mind to unusual display pieces. These hand molds are the perfect for holding onto strands.
