I painted what felt like approximately 42 miles of trim/doors last summer. From dark brown stained pine (I think?) to white. Clean. Sand. Clean. 3 coats of primer. 2 coats of paint. It took more coats than I expected, but I thought more lighter coats was giving a better result that fewer thicker coats. It was a ton of work overall and I won’t claim the paint job was perfect. But the result is much cleaner and brighter, and I would do it again. Up close and before-and-after-old-owner-to-us pics for you below.
