Looks lovely, and probably feels even larger than the generous (for a studio/loft) 500+ square feet. The constraints are actually fewer than those placed on ADUs in many communities (for example, we are limited to 17'), very forward thinking of Portland!

Besides the lack of storage that others have noted (I might have been tempted to put in a kneewall closet upstairs) its a little frustrating to not have the actual final floorplan including revised bath, omission of the island with seating, and addition of the folding table on the wall.

Putting a closet in under the stairs would be perfect. A small dresser or two and a few chairs in the loft would alleviate any storage issues the place currently has, and it wouldn't take up much floor space.
