Throw Pillows that Make Me Smile
But not for long. Inspired by Adi's interview with Wendy, about her shabby nest, and the amazing pillows Wendy makes, I am now on the hunt for the perfect pillows for my empty slate of a sofa. My living room is modern with dark wood, a green rug, bright red accents in the art, and a boxy black leather sofa. Finding the right pillows might take some work.
But in the meantime, I've come across tons of pillows that just make me smile, even if they're not right for my house. Like these:
I love this bright mix of straipes and pattern - it's so perfectly beachy!
This rosette pillow, made by Etsy designer missmosh, is so pretty - wouldn't it be perfect in a little girl's room? Or, for that matter, a big girl's room?
This mix of shapes and patterns is lovely and neutral, and looks very comfortable.
This Amelia Bennet pillow is an absolute work of art.
I must be in a silhouette mood today - I love this as much as I love Wendy's silhouette pillow.
This is one of my all-time favorite Houzz photos - the colors are great and those pillows are pretty but also quite inviting.
I love this apple - nearly as much as I love the mix of green accents with a purple sofa.
One of the nice things about throw pillows is that they're a good way to mix a bunch of patterns without overwhelming a room.
These pillows were also made by Wendy. Isn't the airplane perfect for a boy's room?
This room is so perfectly girly and preppy and clean. I love the big, bright flowers.
Nina van de Goor's bright, fun pillows are perfect for her apartment, which is positively brimming with energy.
This is the photo that inspired the whole ideabook - a few of Wendy's homemade pillows. I especially love the rosettes - it reminds me of a J. Crew t-shirt!
