Your room looks big enough to float the furniture and use the areas in front of the windows for walkways. Because if your cabinets are creamy white looking, then I'm assuming you don't want a white that looks too stark in the family room. Here's a list of whites in order by hue family. It's helpful if you collect all or some of the chips and put them in order exactly how they're listed. By comparing the chips - in order - you be able to see how they're different. Choose your top two or three favorites and test. For example, I'd pull White Dove, Cloud White, and Simply White. Good luck.

Sand Dunes belongs to the yellow-red (orange) hue family - the very end of the orange hue family right on the cusp of the yellow hue family. Because it's over so close to the yellow hue family, it makes perfect sense that it's a creamy white in one room on the cabinets yet it's showing peachy overtones on the ceiling.

Reply to: I like your floors and you have a good start for your room. I'm not great at furniture placement but I do want to suggest a larger rug and also some people level lighting. Rugs do a great way of defining spaces. I would also add some more light. Floor lamp and table lamp light is warmer and more flattering than overhead lighting.
