@Bonnie Cook: Space for what? I have a 90 sq foot kitch (10' x 9') and plenty of room for what I need. I even have empty cabinets/drawers/shelves. How many people eat at your table daily? Do you bake a lot or just on occasion? Do you garden and do canning and preserving annually? Do you have walls between your kitchen and living area or is it open? Having 7 cupboards is a lot. I have 3 plus some open shelves. One of my cupboards is empty. One has 3 shelves and 2 of them are full; one is empty. The third cupboard has 2 items in it and the rest is empty.

Below is a pix of my 90 sq ft kitch. So, what do you need space for? How do you use your kitch? How many people do you cook for daily and eat at the table?

If you're lacking motivation, here's why it's important to get this space organized.

It will save you money because you will no longer buy duplicates.
You'll know what you have on hand and you'll have a vague idea of how many items you have in storage.

It will save time because you'll have a better understanding where everything is.
You will no longer need to hunt through cabinets to find the rice cooker(s). You will be able to easily reach for the cutting board because you've taken the time to store it appropriately in the space you most often need it.

Your opening statement: "Kitchen cabinet doors and drawers can hide a multitude of sinful clutter" opened the road to a list of clear solutions for anyone's cabinet concerns. What a beautiful way to begin a story. I love it!
