Love the idea of pebbles and concrete or mixed gravel, however feel the usage of such depends on the environment you live in as IMHO definitely not suitable in areas where snow removal would be required. Just a thought!

P.S.: For those who have interlocking stones and battling weeds, a sprinkle of 'road salt' on them works well. Apply to just the weeds and give it a few days to work and disintegrate. Not only is it environmental friendly; it is cheap plus as it contaminates the ground (do not put near flowers/shrubs/grass) the weeds generally do not return and are easily removed with a sweep of a broom. *Note: Table or Swimming Pool salt is not advised as their compound is entirely different and will not react the same when subjected to either sunlight or rain.

Thank you this is very useful to me since I am looking for fresh ideas for my new landscaping.
I love incorporating pebbles with the pavers.
