I would have like to see the before photos.
I get the need to lighten dark interior but this was too stark white for me. A creamy shade of paint and leaving some dark wood work like the stair rail or the carved post would have lightened it but kept the warmth of a Tudor. Traditional liming would have kept the carved details better. The white did set off the stained glass.

The main floor bathroom is just stunning. Kudos to the owner for preserving the light fixtures, a 100 yr old exquisite example of form and function. I also love the medicine cabinet/mirror.

I really love it. I too have a hard time with painting gorgeous woodwork - but you cannot buy homes like these new because there are not that many carpentry people around that do this type of work anymore - this original home probably took 6-9 months of in-house carpentry work - no one has time for that nonsense anymore (sarcasm but true the craft or carpentry is dying sadly). Is there a tv anywhere - I am supposing so. I love all the cube seating, but where are the grandparents going to sit - in the misplaced chair in the master bath? I personally would allow no one ever to sit on that chair while still wet - that is a gem of a chair and not inexpensive.
