On the scale of surgery, that seems like full on cybernetic limb replacement (in a good way). As others have commented, the before and after holds a pretty significant change--a notable task with the implication that the project managed to stay on budget.

The overhaul of the kitchen to rear yard connection is a high point for me. Some think these kinds of small, garden-level spaces in row houses lack opportunity for real connection between indoors and outdoors, or their ability to harvest natural light. As this project shows, this is far from the truth. Spaces like this surpass expectations of garden level space and leverage aspects of biophilia (our inherent love for a connection to nature).

Great job! I like that you connect to the outside. Your garden is gorgeous and so are your remodel choices. I would live there in a heartbeat.
