We used SW Extra White for all trim through out our house. It's a great trim color.

You can't go wrong with using the same color on the walls and trim, matte or flat for walls, and satin or semi-gloss on the trim. Especially since you say you are clueless about color, it's pretty foolproof. The difference in sheen will give a nice dimension to the space, as girl_wonder said. Light and shadow will make even the same color appear different enough so it's not worth it to try to find a different white.

I'd do SW Extra White on the trim. Pure White is fine on the ceiling; it will probably end up looking similar to Zurich when it's all done.

I seem to end up buying houses with various flavors builder grade oak throughout. This is my third home and the first one I used BM Advance throughout. I have tried oil lots of other options and BM Advance is a fantastic product for trim. If you are painting the trim in that many rooms the dry time is probably by going to be an issue because it will take so long to paint each coat of trim in multiple rooms so that by the time you get through all of it once, the starting area will likely be ready for round 2.

I like mine. I wanted wood but thought it might feel heavy with the whole kitchen in wood, so did antique white upper and tall cabinets. My house is a 1915 bungalow, and I like the aesthetic of things being added over time and a bit mismatched.

You say your kitichen is small. To trick the eye, paint your cabinets and the wall the same color…different finish. This inspiration photo is showing you an all white kitchen using B.M. Simply White. Use a gloss finish on the cabinets; use an eggshell finish on the walls; use a flat finish on the ceiling; use a semi-gloss on the woodwork. Using one color will make the space appear larger.

First I would do the ceiling the same color as the walls I like matte for walls and ceilings and then a satin for trim as for the cabinets they will need to be done by an actual cabinet refinisher with conversion varnish so you can go the same color but they will look a bit different every time you change the sheen the color catches the light differently so keep that in mind. I am not sure why the cabinets need painting , I actually love the way the paint is now in the house.

If you want white on white, then I'd do Dover White on the trim in semi-gloss and Dover White in flat on the walls.
