Glass shower doors are usually tempered and can't be cut. If you try to cut them, they will shatter into pebble-like pieces. To bad they can't be used as you envision.

I don't know anything about using tempered shower doors, but I made my back splash out of beer bottles locally sourced. I can't wait to make the next ones out of Acqua Panna bottles and Pelligrino.
