We would love to have a pool table. The dining rooms seems just big enough for a 6 ft version. Or we could even use the family room for it. Growing up, my grandma had one which was lots of fun, and we would cover it to use for big family meals for holidays.
Emma has been lobbying for years to have a hanging chair in her room. She would love something at a cozy hideaway that can be mostly enclosed.
We love playing games, so a table that is good for 4 player games like bridge (or for puzzles) is a must. I'm thinking this would go in the sunroom. I"m not crazy about the color of the chairs, but they do look comfy, which Laszlo is sensitive about.
So, realizing that our office nook by the kitchen is much smaller, we would love to squeeze in a loveseat (or a comfy chair) and a desk for Laszlo. The reason is that while (as mentioned) we aren't really TV people (we'd love more of the space set up for reading and games), we do occasionally watch a movie on Laszlo's computer.
I like the headboard of this bed and the design of the two side tables (though perhaps they're a bit higher than I would like.
I love the idea of a partial or complete write-on wall (either chalk or dry erase markers). Not sure where this would fit, but possibly in the entrance hall or guest room.
We do enjoy illusion decor, and the outdoors.
This turns board games into decor!
Or you could be inside the game. :)
Ok, we've clearly left reality behind, but this seems fun. We do have guests who may come as a mom and kids, couple, etc so it would be great to have a space that is flexible to accommodate various combinations.
I study cities, so something evoking a skyline could be fun.
We like the idea of something super fluffy for one or more of our area rugs.
Maps seem fun for decor.
Emma has lots of craft supplies. A vibrant space like this would be fun to incorporate on a smaller scale.
I like that this is all soft and inviting. We've broken hanging art and standing lamps (and that isn't even since having kids), so a pretty accident-proof area would be appreciated. :)
I like the idea of a dining "booth" if that fit in anywhere.
We like space, rocketry, etc. I realize we have like 10 themes so far, so your editing eye will be much appreciated.
Some options to easily hang cards, artwork, etc would be great to incorporate.
Fun side tables!
A secret doorway, perhaps just what we need to hide the laundry or office nook?
Nice calm colors.
I think we want to maximize the feeling of light in our space, and I like how the colors here seem to help.
While I'm open to a plan for the dining room that uses different colors for panels and trim, I also like some light colored walls like this which are more uniform.
I like how a table appropriate for cards incorporated into this room.
I like how this seems to be a guest space with a desk nook. I don't need a lot of stuff, but if we have room for a spot where guests could use a laptop (to watch something or catch up on email), that might work for Gina's desk landing space when needed.
This seems close to our color scheme.
I like the connection of a pool area to sitting area in this layout (though not the glass table).
Maybe for master bedroom, we could work with current furniture and tie into greys.
Could consider a sunny wall color.
This seems pleasantly cheerful.
I think a subtle wall color like this works well.
So, the idea of a custom mural is worth considering. My mother in law has actually done several for us (from florals to kids-room-characters), so if we had an idea she might be willing to help with execution.
