While the wood cabs are OK, I think you could take that kitchen to another level w/some tweaks. option 1: If it were mine I'd consider getting a new island countertop. maybe a marble or a quartz-marble look. Then I'd paint the island. maybe a color like a soft sage, warm gray or even a blue. All of those colors look great w/terra cotta. This is my favorite look w/saltillo. these beautiful sage green cabs, honed countertops (either a soapstone or a type of black granite), warm brass hardware. gorgeous same type of soft green. I love the backsplash too. all of those colors work w/the coloring in your home. option 2: Paint all of the cabs and redo the island countertop. This color is a very soft gray w/a soft gray tile splash similar to your color scheme if you went all white. notice the wood island countertop, wood beams, and some color on the walls. this one too is similar to your cabs, but notice the all white countertops, marble backsplash tile, modern style lights and stools. (and very little upper cabinets. gives a diff look) you could also bring in green tile (not this design, just look at the color) The greens and blue tile w/all white surroundings, would highlight the terra cotta color ignore the walls (it's a venetian plaster) and the window trim, but just look at the colors w/the saltillo tile and the wood. If you did white cabs, black island (or you could keep the island in the wood) and switched out the backsplash to something black and white w/some wood accents like these shelves and blinds, this would also look great similar to what you have, it's more mediterranean. this one too. but notice the green island, the white hood, and beams in the kitchen. Don't be afraid of some color. since all your walls are white, you could do some color in the kitchen. even just the island. This is a perfect color blue w/your flooring. this one too. Patina green color (think the color of copper after it ages. the verdigris shade) two tone cabs with patterned spanish style backsplash. spanish style light.

Reply to: Susan, Snowbound is prob a good white for those floors. It doesn't have yellow or blue like some of the others some other neutrals that work w/Snowbound and the Saltillo: These are some other whites that have the red or pink undertones that would better suit saltillo tiles. These are other colors that work w/these tiles Cavern Clay was color of the year and is very close to the Saltillo color, so look at it to find coordinating colors

Reply to: I never updated yall- they’re imperfect, but have lots of character and have grown on me. Also we limewashed our brick fireplace and my husband built a gorgeous cedar mantle. I like it!
