Getting Ready For Your New Custom Closet...

The best way to add square footage to you house without an addition is custom closets...

After your installation is done not only will your closets feel bigger, they will be organized and their will be a place for everything.

What should you do before the installation takes place? Here are a three tips -

Take everything out of your closet.

Sort clothing into piles -
Keep
Donate
Garbage

Donate anything that you haven’t wore in 6 months... This is probably the most difficult but most important tip. For some reason we become attached to our clothes, just seeing them brings us back to that special day or moment in our life when we _____ Fill in the blank...

If you have an article of clothing that is that special, put it in a vacuum bag and leave it in the attic... I recently did that with a pair of velvet gray pants that I wore on New Year’s Eve 1999... Yes velvet and my wife still makes fun of me 13 years later...

Rip out old closet shelf and pole. Fill holes, prime and paint. Don’t skip this step.... There is nothing worse than a new custom closet with holes in the walls and chipped paint.

These tips will help you turn your closet into the most enjoyable room in the house.

Good Luck!
