To counter balance the visual weight of the curio, put the tree in a larger basket or pot and fill the top of it with a filler and a spiller that add some red. Move the red chair to that area to use as a reading corner. Put the wood side table and a lamp beside the chair. Push the cocktail table to within 12-18" of the sofa. Turn the rug and slip it under the front 1/3 of the sofa. In the other end, use a zebra striped cowhide in the same tones to anchor the entry side of the room. Pull the white chair up to the cocktail table for conversation with the sofa's occupants. Lower the new art at the sofa to 5" above it and one hand's breadth apart.
