It sounds as though your plan was to use white cabinets with the laza countertop with a stained island but maybe a light grey paint with the same countertop would tie in better with your flooring or perhaps a walnut countertop if there are brown tones in the floors? This chevron or herringbone pattern is a fun way to vary the floor material. A possible backsplash idea (bottom pic) although a simple white tile in a fun shape or elongated subway. If you do the grey island a light grey backsplash would work as well. The banquette is a good option for that small dining space. I also think it looks as though this kitchen is separate from your other spaces and you could use a lighter flooring as the grey is just so dark, heavy and masculine-if you had vaulted ceilings and a much larger kitchen it would work better in that type of setting. If you have the flooring available set out a large sample to view in your kitchen and see how it feels to you.
