Really like the couch and side chairs; like how the conversation is arranged
Nice furniture arrangement for the conversation area; conversation area & it's proximity to the dining area similar to our Seabrook house
Miniature vertical gardens along a fence or a rock wall????
the use of a George Nelson pendant light fixture in a traditional period room
the combination of painted/natural wood cabinetry; the open cabinet insides don't look dark with natural wood interiors
what a great idea - multitask the under-sink pullouts to accommodate BOTH cleaning, washing up, scrubbing supplies w/ a towel drying rod & a paper towel dowel
drawers/bins w/ wire mesh for storing potatoes, onions, etc.
pullout cutting board in a drawer
pullout cutting board on roller guides
utensil/knife/cutlery drawer with top sliding tray; my mother had one of these in her kitchen which was custom built in 1959!
slid-out blind corner drawers
vertically narrow pull-out spice racks
slip-in storage space for a step stool
the shape of the box drawers & the 2 tone woodwork
pendant lights over the island
The patterned glass separating wall...this could work, on a smaller scale, for glass kitchen cabinet doors...hand-drawn patterns.
COLOR BLOCKS of color!!!! Beautiful!! There's earth, sky, & green vegetation/garden surrounding it. I think I'd never get tired of such a color scheme.
The idea of the painted doors, translated into glass, particularly for a pantry cupboard.
THE BACK SPLASH!!
Storage space ideas...including paper grocery sack stg & both door and roll-out shelf stg.
Lovely kitchen overall, BUT, NEVER going to have another wood chopping block counter! I grew up with one and inherited one in my current house. No matter what one does they become a mess in time. My mother's wasn't finished w/ varnish and since she was scrupulous abt keeping it clean and not cutting on it lasted for 53 years in pretty good shape. The one in my current kitchen was, before my time, cut on and had heavy, hot cook pans set on it + having the cooktop set into that counter. It's a mess besides some of the nails popping up now after 30+ years. NEVER AGAIN!!
Love the glass door cabinets. They look like they're from a butler's pantry. Placement of table (could be an island) funnels traffic to the outside of the work area, yet leaves the overall area with an open feeling.
I love the overhead, glass cabinets. I had similar in my small kitchen in our old house and they added the feeling of space into what had been a small room previously.
love the sash windows over the sink; I have only one...think how much light three would let into a relatively dark kitchen!
pared down configuration of floor plan; seems like a smallish footprint while directing traffic outside the work area.
Quartz counter on island looks nice, clean, light against the light wood
Large expanse of counter space on island; work area isn't interfered with by traffic going right through the work area!
