Do not waste your money on Hunter Douglas. The motorized blinds are problematic - high failure rates for these motors and power supplies needing constant replacement. Do a web search and you will see the motors have a high failure rate and don't get promised warranty support. This was a tough lesson for me to learn after shelling out what I did.
I spent hours upon hours trying to locate an HD certified tech to respond to the warranty repairs needed for my blinds. HD provides few if any 'certified techs' in any region that can support warranty issues - or even willing to provide warranty service at the rate these need attention/repair. Calling HD Customer Service gets you redirected to the same problematic dealers who don't support what they sell for HD. The parts needing replacement are hundreds of dollars to replace if you are forced to go outside HD to get them - which is likely why the dealer ignores customers needing warranted repairs. Even so, should you be able to find a competent, responsive tech, it is going to cost you over $125 to get in the door then hourly thereafter - yes, even if the failed part is under warranty.
Your clause shows you are responsible for these ongoing, constant repairs. There are bad chips in the motors and power supplies and the cause for these repeated failures. Not to mention the inconvenience of losing a 1/2 day for every single repair that requires a tech to visit - I've lost a month of days due to issues just in 18mos and while under warranty that I owned these $15,000 Luminettes -- including 6 motors fail and 3 power supplies fail UNDER WARRANTY. These are SUPPOSED to be covered for 5YEARS and not even HD Customer Service will just send me the part(s) I need and let me do my own repairs since the dealers in my area won't respond to warranty calls since they didn't sell -and- the dealer who is obligated to support the warranty repairs refuses to respond.
Believe me, I would have purchased something from Budget Blinds to do the job rather than blow this kind of money to be treated this way and have overpriced stationary sheers that don't cover the window properly and don't even work. I thought I was making an investment.
Don't make the same mistake many other Hunter Douglas customers and I have. Be advised, these products also become obsolete in less than 10yrs, so one way or the other, you are on your own to manage the problematic window treatments with constant and high-costing failures.
