I will also note that I installed about 900sf of the same NuCore Performance flooring under the name Dolce Oak and it’s been great going on about 4 months. I think I had about one million samples of flooring and the NuCore Performance was unparalleled in how hard and durable it is.
Installing it isn’t bad but you have to make all your cuts with a saw. I’ve seen a video where someone used a utility knife but I tried it a couple times and the new knife blade literally just skates over the surface dangerously. The flooring dulls saw blades like crazy but you can kind of get through it with dull saw blade just from the friction.
The flooring is still holding up great a few months since installing with no issues. I have yet to find any scratches in the floor.
My research found that that there are two types of floor sold under the NuCore Performance brand as of July 2021. There is what appears to be a wood core and the stone core. The better flooring is the solid stone core version. I purchased a sample of the wood core version and it was the most unimpressive piece of flooring I have ever held. It also dents super easily and is just bad. I’m guessing this is the flooring that all the negative reviews are from.
The stone core that I and OP put down is incredibly hard and will almost break like tile. There was not a harder and stiffer LVP that I could find at any price point. I don’t have a single dent or scratch that I can find. In fact, after working with the stuff enough, I don’t really think it would even dent. I do think the flooring could crack but only if it’s not resting on subfloor. If installed properly, I just don’t know what could really happen to this flooring from a damage perspective outside of some very light scratching in the long term.
I clean it with a normal vacuum and Bona with no issues.
The only complaint I had with the flooring is that holy hell it is heavy! It’s something like 50-60 pounds per box. My whole 900sf in flooring weighs around 2500 pounds.
I also didn’t have any of the click lock edges broken. I did use some scraps as tapping blocks and those edges broke off pretty fast but they aren’t brittle. There is a little flex to the “weaker” park of the click lock that is on the bottom side of the joint. I did break the edge in on smaller piece during install because I absolutely whaled on it. That was user error though.
I would recommend you ensure your subfloor is relatively level. This flooring is too hard for uneven floors that have not been leveled. This is not like a lot of LVP floors that will bend and flex into low spots. It’s just too hard.
