I don't see why not, it's just chemistry. Food grade will be purer, though, so you might get a cleaner chemical reaction.

I've used tomato past on my copper pots and they work beautifully. Just cover the copper with the past and let sit for a few minutes before washing it off. I've also tried lemon and salt solution, works very well on tougher to clean copper pots.

Yeah some time i do much scrubbing on my pane when its not get removed it.But now as now what you said i keep it in my mind and hope now by washing my panes hope not much effort have to apply.:)
