Guest Picks: Designer Pillows to Love
Pillows are my preferred vehicle for using high-end fabrics because they create impact while using little yardage. Though the fabric may still be pricey, handmade pillow covers like the ones shown here are a great way to add a dash of your favorite fabric to your space, without blowing your budget.

Schumacher's "Chiang Mai Dragon" needs no introduction. And I think seller Aurelia6311 has the best deal on Etsy: two pillow covers for $100!
Schumacher's "Kasari Ikat" is the perfect marriage of ikat and chevron in a small-scale pattern and provides a neutral backdrop for other large-scale patterned pillows.
"Imperial Trellis" by Kelly Wearstler for Schumacher is yet another iconic fabric that is usually easy to find as a pillow cover on Etsy. This charcoal gray colorway is one of my favorites.
I love the loose, abstract geometric pattern of Schumacher's "Zimba," and it's in my favorite color: orange! This pillow cover would be stunning paired with black.
With its dandelion-like print, Thom Filicia's "Burnet" for Kravet makes a sophisticated yet whimsical pillow cover.
I own these pillow covers and love them. They are made from Kelly Wearstler's "Bengal Bazaar" fabric for Lee Jofa. Etsy seller Aurelia6311 creates a great deal with a pair of pillows for $100.
My most recent favorite fabric, GP & J Baker's "Nympheus," is a gorgeous combination of water lilies and cranes. I think a pillow cover in this particular colorway is next on my wish list.
