After growing up in Southern Indiana, I missed my persimmon pudding down in Texas. Now my mom saves me a several of bags of pulp to bring home after Christmas. We make it for our birthdays and for Thanksgiving (in stead of pumpkin pie). It's my family's favorite dessert!
