Reply to: It’s tricky and lots to consider. Weigh being sentimental vs space/style appropriate. (We saved a few chairs from an inherited set, reupholstered and placed in bedrooms.) Living room (assume is adjacent) comes into play. If furniture is very traditional, you’ll want a connection. Also, get a sense of what a new set will cost (not inexpensive). For the little it will cost to move, I’d bring and at least you‘ll have something to use. Hate to say, rug and accessories may also need to be edited.
