I'm the oldest of 5 kids, my sister's and brother all have children. We have been baking holiday cookies together since the first niece was born. Nana and Grandpa come as well as spouses, all together there are about 15 of us. Someone runs out for sandwiches to keep it going, attached is a cookie that I made with my nephew last year, he is 18 :)

My sister-in-law has been doing this for years with her nieces and nephews! She never had kids and it gave us moms a chance to shop or wrap gifts while the kids were with her. Now we have grand kids so we all go over one weekend and do cookies, fudge, chocolate covered pretzles and such! It is so much fun and the tradition is one all the lids enjoy!!

It seems like so many posts about topics like this seem to be all about the Martha Stewart/Pintrest touches instead of having fun and creating memories. I like your attitude towards cookie baking.
