10 Ways to Add Chocolate to Your Life

It's almost Valentine's Day...and that means chocolate. Lots and lots of red heart-boxed chocolate.

Chocolate is delicious in the box, and it's amazing in the home, too. It's a rich color, with depth and sophistication, and works in a lot of ways.

As an aside, several of these rooms were designed by Brown Davis Interiors - a company that has a commitment to "brown" in more ways than one!

If you're considering adding chocolate to your home, check out these 10 options:

10. In patterns. More Vanessa de Vargas - this time showing off her expertise with patterns. Brown is exactly the right pair for white here - both on the walls, on the desk, and on the chair.

9. For balance. Vanessa de Vargas knows a lot about how to use color in a room - and this space is no exception. The furniture, structurally diverse but matching in color, anchors the room in a gorgeous, serious way.

8. On the wall. I have recently realized just how powerful interesting mattes can be - and I love these.

7. On the floor. Wood floors often fade into the background - enough, even, that it's easy to forget that they're brown. Add a little interest, though, and they become a focal point.

6. As the color. Opposite from the room above, the brown in this room works as a splash of color, both in the throw and in the cow print.

5. As a neutral. I love the way this brown sofa works as a neutral next to the room's melon tones.

4. Smooth leather. Speaking of rich, this soft, traditional brown leather chair is masculine but not stodgy.

3. With shine. This wallpaper is amazing, but it's the lamp that really catches my eye in this space. It's sheen gives the color extra richness.

2. Retro. The bed gives this room a space age bordello look, which I'm on the fence about, but I love the brown walls and the white tesk with details that look almost like piping. It's like a suit Jackie Kennedy would wear.

1. With red. These red chairs are the heart-shaped box to the room's brown walls and accents. I like that fresh splash of green, too.
