Nancy, yes, that's what I was saying lol. They are anchored. As I was deciding if I really wanted to cut that shelf, I had a very large tree fall and do some damage to roof and had to deal with that and choosing a new roof. So I chose the easiest route.

I've ordered a new sofa, a white sectional with a chaise that I'm very excited about! The reason the extra bookcase is on that end is it's open and I can put my keys there ha.

Vladimir says thank you!

Ah, Vlad! Hockey fans? I enjoyed our years here with our Russian Red Wings. Your sectional will go nicely in that room. Having a set place to put one's keys is essential, I believe. It is good when a place just naturally appears.

I am in the middle of decorating in oranges and bright greens, I am going wild in my old age and giving in to the fact that my house was built in the 1970s. Midcentury Modern, only with lots of color.

No lol at the time, I thought Vladimir Putin's looks in some photos I saw were awesome and I thought his name was perfect.

The key excuse sounded kind of lame, didn't it? Ha but it's true!

I'd love to see pictures of the shade of green you're using.

I've got a couple of posts in design dilemma now.
