I'm Bringing Sexy Back
Well, not really, but it was an ideabook title that made me laugh! EXPLANATION: I was digging through the countless half-completed ideabooks I've been collecting for awhile, and I noticed I had one called "Sexy." I'm not even sure exactly what I was thinking when I created it, but what the heck, it's a random Thursday, why not try to think about what it means in terms of home decor.
I came to the conclusion that it can mean totally different things to different people. To Austin Powers, it's a rotating round bed on his private plane. To a minimalist, it might mean a completely empty room. To Samantha Jones and Jackie Collins, it's red paired with a cheetah print. To a prep it might be a blue and green plaid paradise. To me, it's simply sleek. It's the kind of place where I would feel comfortable yet fabulous sipping on a chilled martini with three olives.

To some, this says, "Come on up and a-see me some time." To others, it says "turn around and RUN! As fast as you can!!!"
This is one of the sleekest, sexiest rooms I've ever seen. I think it's the shiny black paired with red and lucite.
Here is where I would like to sit with my cocktail.
Purple and red - kinda '80s Jane Fonda's workout, but somehow it's very sexy here.
This room could have gone very bright bright white, but the art and furnishings tone it down and make it so lounge-y and relaxing.
Here it is from another angle.
OK, I'm noticing a pattern here. Clearly I find black, red and white sexy. I know why too. It's because I read it was John Taylor of Duran Duran's favorite color combo when I was twelve.
There is a sexy, uncluttered decadence to this bedroom. As if it's in some exotic, ridiculously-overpriced-but-worth-it hotel.
I always find a little metallic bling sexy, especially silver.
Whoomp there it is, and it has my name on it!
This bathtub was not built for one.
Couldn't help myself. WHAT IS THIS?
