My sister lives in Florida and barely has a step up to her home. Whenever I say something about pain, she blames it on our stairs. When she comes here, she freaks out because of a bad leg from a car wreck when she was young, so I don't blame her for not liking stairs. I love our stairs, and am glad we have two floors. I do see a stairlift chair in the future, but that will be easier and cheaper than moving. These stairs are all beautiful. Can't decide which is my favorite.

Whenever people talk about “code” they should be sure to reference the code/state/countr. Houzz readers are from all over and lots of writers refer to “their” code requirements as if the were universal. They are not. Very confusing and misleading.
