iowavette, I don't think it would matter as far as the mobile. It would depend on how comfortable you are on the ladder and if you could clean it safely.

Here is a mobile I created with my art glass. My client experienced a minor earthquake and luckily she was nearby to catch everything. Despite taking that thing apart a minimum of a hundred times and putting it back together during it's creation and before it was installed, a year later reconstructing it in the clients home was ridiculously difficult. TWO TRIPS AND HOURS figuring it out.........so, iowavette, if I may, DO NOT TAKE IT APART TO CLEAN!
