Barn door to my office, looking toward the kitchen? Yes please.
The finished faux-loft. I love it!
Rustic, loft feel, neutral palette to design around.
Wood ceiling, brick walls.
Shelves to the ceiling framing windows. Library ladder, of course.
Similar to the bar we have.
Would love it if shelving was open-backed and the brick showed through.
Kinda what I was envisioning with a "dropped ceiling" area over the kitchen, only closed instead of open loft like this. It would allow the stove vent to hang from a reasonable height, provide a storage space that could be accessed from the second floor deck maybe? Also, a place for art/statement pieces, potential future mounting point for a projector.
Cozy movie watching.
Gorgeous back wall built ins.
Drop ceiling over kitchen to allow a projection tv later? Storage loft above kitchen?
Long great room.
Pocket office, cream, black, wood, metal, glass, industrial, soft details, exposed beams.
Gorgeous loft style.
Opening onto the yard seamlessly.
Love this window-wrapped dining nook.
Love the shed roof/angled ceiling, clerestory windows, and layout.
We both agree we dig this layout.
Dig the "rustic" elements, dark floors but so much light and white it still feels airy. I like the storage the half wall provides, and the delineation between kitchen and living room, but I would rather do it with a piece of furniture than something structural. Something that could be moved or removed later in life if we want to move things around.
Open, light, warm, simple.
A house we toured where we liked the high square windows flanking the hearth.
Ahhh the wide open back wall!!
Good view of the TV from kitchen, ample storage, open stairs to upstairs add sense of spaciousness.
L shape, covered patio off dining room, spacious, light. Walls fall away.
More beams!
