Glulam beams is what I had in mind for the great room. Two central--one splitting the dining room on either side from the kitchen and living room, would be the start of what I had in mind. https://www.menards.com/main/building-materials/trusses-i-joists-engineered-lumber/laminated-veneer-lumber-lvl-strand-lumber/5-1-4-x-13-3-4-glulam/1064472/p-1478676338952.htm
Put bi fold carved wood doors in front of tv as art when not in use and perfect.
Split/Farm front door. Love it.
I like the lowered ceiling to create intimacy, but does that just become a dust-shelf?
Pretty inset tile. Interest without being too difficult or busy.
Mixed plank flooring. Rustic or busy?
Blue velvet makes neutral look luxurious. The pops of color and texture throughout, with plain white walls, makes this like an inviting art studio!
Welcoming entry, sunlit great room, privacy from front door
Barn doors for my office, please!
I love the mix of materials, mixing hard/cold (cement) and soft/warm (wood).
Could see an entry hallway lined with storage and a "mural" fronting the cabinet doors.
Save space, put books and games in the studs up stairwell?
Don't love the exposed ugly track, but it's an affordable option.
Using carved wood panels to hide a TV. I would want the TV recessed if at all possible, however.
The hinges aren't well-hidden, but this is basically similar to one of the ideas I had for hiding the TV.
Basically demonstrates several ideas I had for hiding the television!
Would not suck as an entry-way!
This upstairs patio concept is lovely.
Pretty stairs.
Beautiful use of under-stairs.
Built-in doggie gate!!
Love this stairwell with art. So many details in this house are spot on.
Awesome use of space!
Like the wood ceiling.
Reclaimed wood door with all stain/paint left intact.
Cool little details like this metal deck design make a home more personal.
Wine cellar. Need we say more
Classic white cabinets with heavy steel accents.
Cool funky old hinge door reused as a barn door.
Amazing stairs made from thick old wood.
YUM.
Industrial loft--a little rugged, but still warm.
Fabulous huge steel beams.
Love the stamped metal wall on the staircase.
Industrial details make me swoon.
Loft feeling details.
We both really liked the high, square accent windows, the color and scale of the accent wall, and I LOVE THE COUCH.
Like the stairs and configuration.
Beautiful beams.
I dig on French Industrial details, as well!
Another view of the built-in hutch. Could see that being the bar and bar back.
Pull for large door.
