We're taking the bath out of our one and a half bath home and making it a shower. We've wanted to for years and hesitated for just as long because of the old "you have to have a tub in case of resale" nonsense. We realize now that we've only hurt ourselves by not having made the change years ago. We're likely to remain here for many more years and getting in and out of the tub to take a shower isn't going to get any easier as we age. Neither is cleaning the tub that we never use. By the time we want to sell, we figure the only folks that will be able to afford to buy in this neighbourhood will be other aging baby boomers who'll appreciate the curbless shower just as much as we do.
