Decorating Kid's Rooms With Chalkboard Paint
What would make a kid happier than having a wall in their room to draw on? (Without getting into trouble!) Paint an entire wall, a door, or simply hang a framed chalkboard and let the creativity begin!
Here are some tips for painting with chalkboard paint:
1) First paint the area with a layer of dark tinted primer.
2) Next paint on a layer of chalkboard paint. And the paint doesn't have to be black! There are many great colored chalkboard paints now on the market...pink, green, yellow, blue...colors to coordinate with any decor!
3) After the paint dries cover the entire surface with chalk, using a large stick turned on its side. Rub the chalk into the surface and then wipe it off. Why do this? This process seals the chalkboard, allowing whatever is written and drawn on the surface to be completely erased, leaving no marks, so that the fun can start all over again.
