Actually not allI insulation window film is tinted- We used Penjerex film and you can't tell it's there-

Years ago when we lived in an old drafty house (snow blew in under the balcony door drafty) our doctor asked if our house is all sealed up tight when we went in for some winter illness issue. I said no, its very drafty. She said "good, keep it that way. fresh air is healthy" ...

Response to HU-187887816: Air that is leaks out will pull in air from the easiest spot. That may be the moldy, dirt floored crawl space with mouse detritus. Or the garage, with car exhaust, solvents, etc. Much better to choose where your ventilation air comes from.
