I can't believe the positive nature of this article to this development. One of the major criticisms I have of the article is that, by an overwhelming majority, this project is disliked both because of aesthetics and function in the neighborhood. There is outward antipathy toward it. I understand that many people might think these are beautiful homes, but they certainly don't belong in an older neighborhood like echo park. One of the main reasons for echo park's desirability is its older homes and the older, more lived in feel of the neighborhood. If you like this kind of development, promote it in a more suitable area like Northridge or west la. Once an area like this is "redeveloped", it never returns and the things which originally drew investment disappear.
